Make a Poster Online for Women’s Equality Day

24 Aug 2017

On Saturday 26th August, we celebrate the strong women through history that pioneered for equality. What better way to mark the occasion than to make a poster online in their honour for your event?

Originally marking the day that women’s votes officially became part of the US constitution in 1920, Women’s Equality Day has grown to mean so much more over the last century.

When you think of strong women through time, your mind thinks of the likes of Florence Nightingale, Rosa Parks and Marie Curie amongst many others. It is because of individuals such as those that inequality is so much smaller than it once was.

How Will You Mark the Day?

There are many ways in which you can mark the day. Whether you organise an event in the honour of great women, make a poster online as a sign of respect or just take a moment to be thankful for the rights that women enjoy today, there is no right or wrong way.

When you take a step back, it is incredible to think that it was less than 100 years ago that women did not have the most basic of human rights, such as voting. It was not until 1928 that all women over the age of 21 could vote in the United Kingdom. Women’s Equality Day is a day when we look back on where we have come from and where we are now.

Make a Poster Online to Encourage Our Girls

While much of the day is about looking back, we cannot, and should not, forget to look forward. As part of the day, many events will undoubtedly take place to encourage girls to pursue their dreams, no matter how stereotypically male-dominated that path may be.

If you are hosting such an event, then it is vital that you get the word out. By simply making a poster online, you keep costs down to a minimum while giving your event maximum exposure through offline and online marketing.

At Doppler Graphics, we are firm believers in ensuring that your event gains the exposure that it deserves. To host a successful event you need to appeal to your target audience and have a clear vision of what you want it to be, just like the pioneering women through history, who had a vision for a world where they could enjoy the same rights as men.
